DISPOSABLE MOB CAPS - COLOURS
Variety
Our Mob Caps are produced in a range of colours from the very popular White to Light Green, Medical Green, Hygiene Blue (Medical blue), Light Blue, Yellow, Orange, Red , Pink, Navy and Black.
Whilst White is extremely popular, primarily because visually you can quickly see if someone is or is not wearing the required Mob Cap, companies sometimes like to use other colours for different work areas. Many restaurants are migrating to to the top of the range black.
DISPOSABLE MOB CAPS - SIZES
Small to Extra Large
The Global standard on Mob/Mop Cap sizes is 18", 19", 21" and 24". Yes they are normally sized in inches notwithstanding the metric system.
The most popular sizes are 18" and 21" , double elastic, as due to the elastic in the Mob Caps, they stretch comfortably over most heads, even for persons with long flowing hair, afro styles and beaded styles. Our mob caps are produced in sizes 18", 19",21" and 24"
DISPOSABLE MOB CAPS - ELASTIC
Single or Double
To ensure that mob caps stay firmly in place customers have a choice between single or double elastic.
Single elastic has traditionally been popular, but there has been a major move to Double Elastic. Whilst Double Elastic is marginally more expensive than single elastic it provides significantly improved integrity/strength, resulting in reduced out of the packet failures and wastage and improves the durability of the mob cap.
DISPOSABLE MOB CAPS - MATERIAL
Weight = Strength
The disposable non-woven spunbond polypropylene material used in Mob/MopCaps is referred to in Grams per Square Metre (GSM). The higher the GSM the higher the strength. Globally Mob Caps are produced using 8gsm - 20gsm. 10gsm is the most popular. The higher the gsm the higher the price of a Mob Cap, so customers have to really assess whether they actually need a higher gsm.
Unfortunately it is very difficult to determine the gsm being used in a Mob Cap and one often has to rely on touch and feel and and visual inspection. If the mob/mop cap looks like a spiderweb and tears easily then there is a strong probability that its GSM is lower than 10 and may easily fail in its purpose to assist in a hygienic environment.
Our non-woven spunbond polypropylene is sourced in South Africa from factories with ISO 9000 certifications that ensure a quality fabric for use in the manufacture of mob caps. We do not use fabric with a gsm lower than 10.

PACKAGING
Standard
Mob Caps are usually packaged into virgin plastic bags of 100 and vacuum sealed with 10 bags in a carton totalling 1000 mob caps per carton / box..
Whilst we follow this standard, as we manufacture in South Africa we have the flexibility to package differently if customers so requires. For example certain restaurants want their mob caps packed in 100's in tissue boxes creating an automatic dispenser, whereas others for example in the food processing industry, may want to buy in large plastic bags containing 25,000 mob caps. Many resellers / distributors want to use their own branded cartons / boxes which we can accommodate.
Whatever packaging is required we are able to accommodate customer needs, including labelling packaging with customer's barcodes.
